Hey all

I was wandering what peoples thoughts are on getting a Playstation 2 now? I am thinking about maybe picking one up on the cheap with some games as I missed out quite a few titles when I stupidly traded the machine in a few years ago (about 3 years ago). I would like to play Final Fantasy 12 (I have seen that for £10 with FF11 free on pc with it), Devil May Cry, Tekken, Gran Turismo etc etc?

Yeah it's worth it buti regert tradeing my PS2 one year ago! i only had it for 1 year! and i had about 15 PS2 games and i sold it just to get a DS Lite! im now savin money to buy a XBOX360 Eilte...

Yeah it's worth it. Some of my favorite PS2 games have come out in just the last few years. Games such as The Red Star, Valkyrie Profile 2, Persona 3 and Odin Shpere. :)

Yeah. If money isn't much of a problem, get a PS3, or a new PS2. But if you're a bit low on cash, get a used PS2, but not the fat one

you should buy a 360 or ps3 because just think on the future....

Gta IV, Battlefield bad company, mgs .....

If you don't have a PS3 and want to play stuff like the Ratchet games, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, Guitar Hero and other games like that (although Guitar Hero after the first is avalible on 360 as well), I say go for it.

Definitely pick up a PS2. Its cheap, a boatload of great games that no other consoles has currently, and most importantly, they're all very enjoyable still.

Definitely get one. They're pretty cheap now and they have plenty of great games. I still play mine plenty even though I have a next-gen console. I'm probably going to be playing it even more for the next month or so, considering there's no new games I really want coming out until March or so.

If you want to buy a PS2 because of the titles you missed out on, then I'd say it's worth it. PS2 has some of the best games I've ever played. Plus the dirt cheap prices nowadays are great. Take advantage of them while you can.

Its worth buying the PS2 and if you have the money you may consider getting the PS3 80GB so you can play PS2 games

No, for the sole reason that the PS2 sucks in Europe. You have to import most of the good **** from either the US or Japan. Get a PS3, totally region free, and most PAL sets today can be switched to the superior NTSC signal.
