and we buy it coz its cheap and awesome! i just got a ps2 slim silver and it great! and many ps2's in my town are outsold! i mean ps3 is here and noone seems to give a damn about it! noone i know(i know MANY gamers here) has a ps3 yet! ppl STILL prefer ps2 coz it's cheap now and has the BEST titles out. i could easily afford a ps3 instead but i bought myself the slim ps2 plus 5 cheap and great games! less expensive+More FUN! :) It Looks like ps2 will Stay Forever in the Market coz ppl are so supportive and refuse to let go over ps3...
I bet that in time people will stop buying he Playstation 2, but not for awhile. Playstation 2 has some of the best videogames ever made on it (at least in my opinoin, and I have met some people who agree with me), so people are fine with that and see no reason to spent $600 for a new system with only a couple games that interest them. As for me, the only games on the PS3 that interest me at all are Motorstorm and Resistance.

I just bought a slimline the other day. Great price, fantastic selection of games, that's all I want!  I'm sure the PS3 is great but the price is absurd and right now there's only a couple of games that interest me. Maybe in a few years...
yea i just got a slim also with GOW, Gradius 5 , Mega man x collection, The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy and a few more games with it.Hell i been playing my ps2 way more then xbox as of lately.Now im just looking for some classics like Xenogears , FF7 and other great Rpgs.
Very true. The ps2 is cheaper than ever and people still are buying it. The library is huge and there are tons of games to catch up no matter how many you have played.
thing is, the more people are getting big screen lcds and plasmas the more people are going to buy ps3/xbox360 because face it - ps2 looks like a$$ on big screen hdtv-s

I think most people who play ps1 games play them on their reverse capable ps2's :) Well, I know I do at least... I still use my PSone. The games look horrible on my PS2.(component cables on an HDTV)
