Is it true that a new PS2 is going to be launched in 2008, that's even slimmer than the slimline, has no external power adapter and best of all: will be priced less than a hundred dollars? Or is this just another rumour?

Really?! That sounds awesome! My old PS2 is nearly busted. I was planning on getting a new 60 GB PS3. However, I think they're really hard to find these days :(
If the rumour is true, then perhaps I can buy a new PS2 and a 40 GB PS3 (which will work out to roughly the same amount as buying a 60 GB PS3) :)
hm my predictions are that its going to be so slim and tiny that its only going to be big enough to just hold the disc. kind of like a really flat square.

the newer slim model doesnt really look thatdifferent than the current slim model thats out (i'm talking about size). its almost the same judging from the pictures Ive seen.

My understanding is that the unit itself will be the same size as the current slim and look pretty much identical. It is supposed to be significantly lighter though.
