If you bought God of War used, then it'd be no surprise to me that the ps2 can't read it. Some people don't take care of their games, otherwise you may have just knicked it up pretty good. It isn't the ps2's fault unless it can't read any games, so yeah...
ihad an old big ps2 and al the games with blue backings didnt work but the ones with silver backings worked.i got a new little ps2 and everything worked
i had an old big ps2 annd i wouldnt read the disks with blue backings but it would read the silver backing ones.i got a new small ps2 and it solved everything
