Okay, so I'm going to buy a PS2 and a whole bunch of games for it (thank you Amazon!). One thing I need to know, however, is if the PS2 is backwards compatable with PS1 games. Like, can you play games like Metal Gear Solid and Megaman Legends for the PS1 on the PS2? I just really want to play these games and this is my first time showing any interest in a Playstation console so any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, I didn't see anything about backwards compatability or PS2 mechanics in the sticky topics so if they're their please link me to them.
