i got my PS2 a year ago and the reason I got that instead of the PS3 was because I could get the PS2 and all the 15 games in my PS2 collection, all of which are great, for less than the PS3 that has far less great games that I couldn't get on something else. There's just too little for the price, but you better believe I got my eye on that 80 GB model for MGS 4.
I don't know about what you said but PS2 was too amazing to let go of just for an upgraded version. Hell, I'm still planning on collecting a few more PS2 games before I go next-gen. I've missed out on so many games so I feel compelled by these dirt cheap prices nowadays to go for PS2 games.
I still play my PS2 on a regular basis there is no point in rushing into buying it when the price is going to drop even more this year after E3 like the new consoles always do so i would just say you might as well wait.
Cos' I own a X360 there's no need to buy a PS3 all the titles I want to play are out on the X360(and usually a few weeks before the PS3) also the PS3 doesn't have Bioshock, Gears of War & PGR :P plus I still have my trusty old PS2 and we've had some good times, I'm not ready to part with it yet.
Hmmm I just read.. this sold more than the ps3 this holiday season.. Is people still playing ps2? Why dont they save up more money and get a ps3??calotono
yes people are still playing ps2 , when you have a ps2 already its better to buy some games for it then to buy a ps3 and save money to buy games for a ps3
