I have two questions for "FF Fans" , I am new to Final Fantasy series, I never played any FF game befor and I just pick FF-XII copy today. Q-1. Which game has batter "Story, Gameplay, Graphics and CGI or FMV" ? Q-2. and if you have to choose only one game which one you Choose and why?
Its really an opinion I really like FFXII more then FFX, but others can say they like FFX more. I really like the new battle system, and the new License board. I never liked the skill board or whatever it was called in FFX because you always needed certain items, in this one you just kill a guy and you get points to use for skills.
XII, there's soooooo much more you can do with the new (well, old if you play FFXI) battle setup in terms of stratedgy and what not, with all the action happening together, rather then turn-based like FFX, which I bored of a fair bit.
FFX is amazing!! The only game that made me cry :(... Very moving RPG. It's the character development and story is what makes this masterpiece shine! .Â
FFXII is better on all terms. If you like a more romantic, whimsical story and if you'd rather save the world from an "Armageddon-ish end of the world" type scenario, then go with FFX. Personally I prefer the epic fight against an empire that FFXII has, and if you like Star Wars, there are quite a few similarities between the Star Wars saga and FFXII. On terms of Gameplay, if you'd rather stick with the older turn-based style, then choose FFX, but if you're looking for something new, or if you prefer MMO/IMO-style gameplay then definitely go with XII. Obviously, since FFXII is newer, the graphics are more impressive, but they aren't so to a major degree. FFX came out on the early days of the PS2 and XII is out on the latter days of the system. So far, the FMV in FFXII is breathtaking, it will definitely send shivers down your spine in a lot of cases. The FMV in FFX is decent, although I don't quite like the drastic change in appearance the characters take, everyone in FMV looks a lot more japanese as opposed to their regular appearances. So, in my Opinion, FFXII is far better, but don't rule FFX out. I personally dislike FFX a lot, and consider it one of the worst Final Fantasy games to exist, but don't let my opinion change yours. Maybe rent both games and try them both out. See which one you like.
imo FFX is better, but they're both great games. the battle system in ffxii is cool but in ffx the story, characters, character development, and almost every thing else is better
Id pick FFXII, its awesome, but so is FFX. I think the story is a lil better in FFX and i like the sphere grid better then the liscense system, but i just enjoy FFXII more overall.
I can honestly say that I absolutely loved final fantasy X, it was such a great game. And I can't really judge it fairly because I haven't beaten final fantasy XII, but its on its way to being the best. Get XII.
I'd say go with FF-XII. Such a fun game and the whole "random" encounters like in the previous FF's is gone so it's less frustrating when you have little health and monsters keep attacking you.
what an ausome question no disrespect to either games theu\y are both amazing but i would have to say ten just because it is my all time fav game even more so then 7 so 10 over 12 but 12 is also amaazing
X just couldnt keep me interested. it had the feel of a scroller with a decent story rather than a rpg with a whole world to explore. i know alot of people loved this game but i was really dissapointed in it.
XII seems like it has way more "meat" to it so far. once you learn the gambit system and get the feel for the battle system, it feels pretty fluid. we'll see if it can knock VII off its throne as my top rpg.
FFXII is better all around. Be warned that it's also far more difficult. As easy as the regular battles can seem sometimes, then comes a boss and I'm forced to run in circles constantly. Haha...
If you want advanced story development, go with FFX, the turn based fighting style makes it more traditional and gives it better story telling capability (not to mention the fact that FFX has a way better story TO tell) it has a way better leveling system as well. But if you're all about the fighting, and really like Knights of the old Republic's fighting system, go with FF XII.
P.S. one important thing, FF X can corrupt your Soul Caliber III data.
