im probably gonna get GH3
i'd say GH3. i'm already a die hard fan, having beat Gh1, Gh2, 80's and still keeping at it. Gh going into there 4th game, cant go wrong. meanwhile rockband is just starting off. no question, i'll still check out rockband for sure, but i think its boost in popularity comes in a sequal... or at least if it wasn't released near GH3's release date.PentlyIf you were truly a die hard fan you'd get Rock Band because it is made by Harmonix (maker of GH1, GH2, and GH80s) and GHIII is made by Neversoft (maker of Tony Hawk games).
I'm going to get both, starting with GHIII (because it's much cheaper). I'll get Rock Band later for the extra tracks and drums.
"Rock Band" will indeed be coming to the PS2, which is funny... really funny...
I'm not really bashing or anything here, by why is it that they feel they need to make these games for the PS2 with the PS3 on the market? There really must not be too many people making the jump to the next console if they feel like this is called for.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it as one of those people Sony has essentially lost after this console becomes a memory... I want to play these games, I'm a die-hard GH fan (although I still stink at it) and I will be interested to see how the new brainchild advances the genre... YES, I think the online can work for this console... but what kind of a vote of faith is it for Sony to have these games coming out on PS2? You don't see any of these games being ported for the GameCube or the original XB, do you? I realize the PS2 is the most successful console of the last generation but when is Sony going to focus?
The PS2 version of Rockband (still Europe only yes or no?) would eventually be the bastard step child versions IF Harmonix decides to continue updating the 360 and PS3 games with even more songs that the PS2 can't get because its a far more limited hardware and its HDD support has gone down the crapper for years now.
I'm getting none because I'm getting IIDX DistorteD CS instead and its a far superior game than those two ZEROES and their generic licensed pub rock music. EW! No original tracks from TAKA, Tatsh, Sota, etc.
