What do you think is the best rpg storyline? or you can name a few rpg storylines you really enjoyed.  My favourite ones are Final Fantasy 7, Magna Carta, Dragon Quest 8 and Digital Devil Saga 1-2 (one story).  But i personally think the best one is the Xenosaga Series (all 3 well since there pretty much one story).

I've got to say Dragon Quest 8 has the best story line. Its cheesy but it works so well.

FFVII and Arc The Lad Twilight Of Spirits. Also if you take away the tacky bullcrap I would add Kingdom Hearts2 cos the story can be quite dark and gripping at times

Xenogears hands down. No other game I've ever played came close to that good. The runner up would have to be....Suikoden II

FFVII, Xenogears, Suikoden 2, Grandia, and Lunar SSS. The last one almost made me cry in some parts :cry:

i may not have played many rpgs but i like ffx, kingdom hearts (ii mostly). i cant think right now.

I hate Dragon Quest 8 by his argument(chasing a staff is not very intersting).

FFVIII: because for me is a love novel more than a Rpg. And much comercial too.

FFX and X2 more of the same but in addition a Spyce girls J-POP saving the world aarggg I feel sick with this games.

FFX has one of the best stories. rohver

That, Kingdom Hearts I & II, FF9, FF7, and Dragonquest which had a simplistic story, but for that type of game it was well done and satisfying.

The only RPG that I thought had the worst story was FF12....horrible you could write the whole story in 2 1/2 pages.

The best storyline in my opinion is Xenogears', followed close by FFVI. Xenogears is so well developed, so many ideas, concepts, philosophies and such that you can keep on playing it many times over and over and never fully grasp everything in it.

Hell yeah Legend of Dragoon! That game was so underrated. FFVII takes the cake for me, but 12 is up there as is six, never really that impressed with Xenosaga's story, but Star Ocean: Till The End of Time seemed like it was a good story until I got bogged down in the god-awful gameplay. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are both awesome as well.
