Although not the best game in this genre, the creepiest for me would be Silent Hill 4. In many ways, Stephen King could have taken many good points in this game to make a better movieout of1408.
something like Fatal Frames but this isthe scariest!Kuon!!! you never know... too bad this game isn't popular, I prefer this over Fatal Frames and Silent Hill etc...
I've got Silent Hill 3 as many ppl said it's very scary but..... it doesn't scare me! really!! (just a little bit at some moments )

and the scariest thing in games is BABIES!!! I can remember the baby in Silent Hill1 in the school! so scary :lol:

If you are scared from babies in games, the first Fatal Frame has a whole chapter where some gost babies play hide and seek with you, and the keep singing those childish songs over and over, sooooo creepy, I will defenitly going to play it tonight!!
First Fatal Frame is the best, the only game that forced me to turn off the PS2 out of Fear.

nar, it is without out a doubt the manhunts, especially #2. It's been banned in the UK and can only be bought by Adults in Australia.....looks pretty bad.Â

Disturbing =/= scary
Ya can go watch a snuff movie of someones throat getting slit or split in two the old fashion horse and wagon way and yes that will be disturbing but not scary in the least.
Although I haven't played all of them, the "Fatal Frame" games had those JOLT! moments and panic-inducing moments when being chased... much more effective than the RE games or the like... "Siren" was incredible but it's not for everyone, takes a lot of patience and a keen eye but that game definitely had me looking over my shoulder... both in the game and in my living room.
