witch generation of PS2'shad a problam with blue backed games?

and i need a list of all games printed on blue dvd's, thanks.

I think it was the first gen and I think it was only a problem when the PS2 was mechanically wearing out and the laser moved slighty away from the discs.

Just the older ones had issues - and it was more an annoyance due to the volume the discs spun at (since they were CDs, they had to spin faster to achieve the same data transfer rate and sounded like a turbine). I actually avoided blue-backed discs until I got my PSTwo because with them in it was louder than any console I'd ever owned (including my 360).

Not sure about a list, but off the top of my head I can think of Ico, The Sims, Virtua Fighter 4 and Frequency being on CDs. There weren't an awful lot...I think they existed only as CDs were cheaper to print early on in the PS2's lifecycle.

Star Wars: Racer Revenge was on CD, it's the only one I ever bought. Mine is 1st gen and won't play them.

Okage : Shadow King, SSX, Maximo, and Midnight Club Street Racing are blue backed discs.

Just recently, i bought Half-Life for PS2 my ONLY blue-sided disc in my Playstation collection

^^^ plus i'd like to add that the thickness compairison is different from a CD to a DVD PS2 game ^^^
