Its not unusual to find Nocturne for under $100 these days. Its a reare RARE game. Consider yourself lucky if you find it at all.
Advice : Keep trying. SMT Nocturne is one of the best RPGS ever.

*off topic* How non-linear is it? If I choose one of the six ideologies, can I switch around as I choose? How well spaced are the save points in dungeons and do you have a party outside of your demons? Thank you! :)
That game is not for everyone. Sure some people say it's the best game in ps2 or whatever but the Truth is that it is a kind of game that only appeals to a certain type of gamer and this group of gamers are not really a mainstream folks. I like the game but I realise that SMT nocturne can be extremely frustrating and even painful and I definately wouldn't recommend that game to anyone I know withough knowing the person.
So just ignore people who just recommend the game without any thoughts. It is not a game everyone(who actually played it) loves.
it's rare but you can easily find it online if you just look in the right places... but if you can't get a hold of it, you aren't really missing THAT much...it's an interesting game but it's not the end of the world if you can't find it.
thats what happens with atlus's games, if you dont buy them around the initial release then your screwed, i luckily got it when it released and am forever grateful i did, now if i could just get my hands on tactics ogre :(
Why do you want it brand new? Are you going to actually keep it as a TRUE collectors item? If not buy it used in mint condition like me and pay significantly less.

i agree abt the part where u say its not for everyone. :D its brutal in its difficulty and the rate of random battles make it awfully hard.. and its not like the other rpgs where u mindlessly hit the x/o button to attack ..
but its still one of the best games out there for the person willing to invest a lot of time in battles.. the strategy has to be there..and sometimes luck lol
