why is ppl so obessed with this "persona", is that game really good? i dont play anime based game.....is this game good?guyman193
Definatly, it's not based on Anime, but it does have Anime cutscenes.
It's just a really different way to play an RPG, It's like a dungeon crawler where you continue moving up a tower, but you're able to split your team up so everyone goes and searches the floor and fights on their own except for your character.
Then there's the social link portion where the game pretty much takes on an almost Sim Date type of gameplay where you must upgrade your charm, intelligence, etc. When you get social links your character is able to create better Persona's which you use to use different spells and to defend yourself from different attack types. It all fit's together nicely
And from what I've played so far. ITS REALLY LONG so that's good for me =]
And the story is really interesting to.
why is ppl so obessed with this "persona", is that game really good? i dont play anime based game.....is this game good?guyman193Its not based on any anime, thank god for that and it puts the last two mainsream Final Fantasy games to shame.
as long as it has blood and gore....COUNT ME IN =Dguyman193
There's not too much blood, but to use your Persona's your character shoots himself in the head =]
persona 3 puts ff12 to shame... and i like it a tad more then ffx(blitz ball will always have a place in my heart)... andscrew ffxixxgunslingerxx
i agree with you FF series going online is bad, not only its a waste of number 11 of the series not all can enjoy the game, well i think persona 3 will be great still hope that wid arms 5 will do the same
The game is intense! The only reason your not getting any is because you have to do a few thing s WELL. lol jk. Yuko, the team manager (doesn't matter what team) won't be officially dating you until level 6 of 10... meh. Chihiri of student counsel dates at late level 4. Yukari can't be dated until your charm is at 'charismatic', Mitsuru can't be dated until your academics are maxed; bravery for Fuuka. If there are any other dating updates please let me know with a message anyone. It will be greatly appreciated.
I think that RPGs will start to pale in the future because of this game. We'll be playing some game where the plot fits perfectly into the combat/gameplay and we'll all think, "But I don't shoot myself inthe head... how will I live in a world where suicide is no longer beneficial?" lol.
the games pretty fun and all but its taking a sweet time to get anywhere. i've been playing it for like 10 hours and it seems like only the supporting cast (not the main characters) get any character developement. dont get me wrong. i like all the characters in the crew but other than their personalities they dont really get into who they are. and the only place you get any action is that one tower where every floor is the same. its like fighting on a treadmill. egm called it half rpg half dateing sim. yeah right. my character aint getting any play. lame i know but you gotta have goals. on the plus side it has a killer sound track, the anime cut scene are really cool. your teams AI is competent. much better than ff12's gambit system. i really like how they made it really easy to play. letting you know the order of attack, preforming combo's, not needing to level up your pokemon for it to be enjoyable. and i love how the girl uses two hands to blow her brains out.ems921
if you read the main character's profile in the manual / artbook you'll notice how they mentioned that he's very quiet and doesn't really talk much about himself. Character development isn't needed for him because you're playing as him answering your own choices in conversations. That's your character development, you answer by your personality. You're the character.
lol i remember somebody telling me when rogue galaxy came out.. "this is it man.. after this i might have to put my ps2 into storage" and now theres persona 3.. :D
Do you have to have played the other two Persona titles to be able to pick up on the story? Are they linked in any way? by story, same characters etc.
any info would be great :)
i'd just like to take back some of the things i said. this game is not an anime style rpg but an anime in rpg form. the story takes place in the course of a year (i'm guessing) so theres no rush to get to know the characters. one of my favorite animes is azumanga daio and you almost never get to know the characters backgrounds till the middle of their second year of highschool. as for the limited battle grounds. they're in highschool. they're not traveling across the world so it makes sense that they dont go very far. its like a territorial gang dispute. after much consideration, i love this game.
20 hours in 5 days? it helps to limit your sleep and to be freaking obsessed. good games are few and far between and its been a while sinse i played a good game. i just proved my geekiness. no more posts on this thread for me.
