I liked the game, if it's only for 10 bucks I would get it. But I beat the game and I never continued playing the game, same happened with me and MGS 2.
the game is really good, i got it for £19.99 when it came out and got hooked but after i finished playing it i didnt want to go back and play it again which is what i do all the time, but 10 dollars thats like £5 in england thats a really good price, i'd give the game a 7.8/10. its good but i did much prefer the ps1 version, metal gear solid, dont know why, but Metal Gear Solid 2, sons of liberty is ok, would say its a little bit better then Metal Gear Solid 3 in my opinion but thats mine not yours, but for 10 dollars you should get it
Im not a huge MGS fan but #3 was really awesome. I went through almost the entire game just slitting people's throats lol. The boss battles were retarded as usual but man does the rest of the game make up for it.
I agree... Snake Eater goes for about 7 bucks, but Subsistance is the one you should really get. It's closer to 30 bucks but, the improvements make it worth it. Besides it also comes with the orginal MG1 and MG2.
Has a better camera, has some extended FMV's, more unlockables, a movie viewer, and some other extra outside game stuff. Doesn't have multiplayer anymore, though.... that got discontinued. And if you don't want to bother unlocking stuff yourself, pick I like MGS3 when starting a game. Takes all the fun out of it, though.... You can even watch all the FMV's without playing the game doing that.....
You won't get stuck in MGS 3. However, the awful camera, outdated controls, and crappy combat will keep you from beating the thing.ministerkataoka
you have 2 hands don't you? and its a stealth game so combat isn't much to worry.
3 is good game, if you dont get all the Masks and Camofloughes the first time around then i guess you can beat it again to get them all, thats what i did, aslo the mini games from based on Ape Escape is pretty fun, though i suggest Subsistence
seriously, YOU DON't DESERVE TO HAVE A PS2 IF YOU DO NOT PLAY THE ENTIRE MGS SAGA, mgs3 is pretty good, not as good as the firs two but it has a really awesome storyline.

You look like the bigger fanboy here. You have to face the fact that not everybody will like what you like. If it was your royal prerogative and you rule the world, yes I like MGS3. But your a mere mortal so screw what you like :p
I would recommend MGS3 over about 95% of the games on playstation 2. Its that good. The gameplay is top notch, as is the voice acting and graphics. the story rivlas that of most movies. the game is incredible from beginning to end you owe it to yourself to play MGS3
Don't doubt the greatness of MG3. You must have it! This game is solid and enjoyable. Much effort was put into this game and it shows it and plays it. One tip: when you are lost...and the ghosts haunt you...and you die every time...take your pill after you die(bottom left of screen). this will save your life.
