Should I go ahead and buy a PS2 now, or wait and get the PS3?

I sold my PS2 a long time ago because I was so crazy about the next gen. Now that I have a next gen console, I'm regretting selling my PS2 because I never finished the games I wanted to. Should I go ahead and buy a PS2 again, or wait till the end of the year and get a PS3?

I'll be getting a PS3 at the end of the year anyways, it's just that I want to enjoy the PS2 games right now. 

why are you in a hurry? your getting one at the end of the year, so just be patient. it will be that much sweeter. :D

If you want to enjoy the PS2 games now, get a PS2 now. You can get a brand new shiny PS2 slim for $129 -- heck, just 2 next-gen games (at $60 a pop) cost you almost that much, and the PS2 games will be a lot cheaper to get and enjoy in the meantime. I have a PS3 also, but I can get 3-4 PS2 games for what I'm paying for each PS3 game, and the PS2 games are still usually a lot more fun.

Life is short. Enjoy yourself.

Have patience dude ..... wait till the end of the year and go next gen .... no point gettin a PS2 now
