Well...i am currently playing Silent Hill 4...i am in the beginning now. So...the most scary think i find in a horror game is the moment who makes you jump...not the bloody, freaky creatures. So...i really really hate those "jump" moments. Are there any of them in SH4 ?

My review of Silent HiIl 4 here at Gamespot: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent Hill 4:the room is a very worthy addtion to the series and a great game for begginers to start out on. Silent Hill 4:the room is slightly different in that the areas are lighted moreso than any other SH and the creatures arent as varied (although some like the ghosts are excellent) but it succeeds in creating the the feel of panic and claustrophobia that Team Silent Hill was going for part in 4. Also keep in mind that Part 4 was an attempt to pull in a more "casual" gamer type since the Silent Hill games already have a very dedicated hardcore fanbase. Therefore SH4:the room is much easier IMO than the previous games and has a slightly lighter tone and Konami made the game lighter and easier to see for those "other" gamers that always made comments like " I cant f#$@% see its too dark" lol I highly recommend this game to the fans of the Silent HIll series and even moreso to those NEW TO THE SILENT HILL GAMES. The areas are much easier to see and the game is not as difficult as the previous games. I enjoyed this one very much and the fact that it is available on both the PS2 and Xbox I suggest that any Xboxers out there that have never played any Silent HIll games pick this one up at a marked down price and if they like part 4 to try out Silent Hill 2:restless dreams also, believe me you wont be dissapointed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well first off imo i thinkSilent Hill 4 is the worst out of all 4, its not scary, extreamly short, and the story isnt even as good as the rest. Now about silent Hill games...silent hill games are a type of horror game that use a mix of sound and atmosphere to get you scared, theres no "pop up" creatures in any Silent Hill game, if there was then its only like once or twice. If you want "pop up" type scary games or scary like games then Resident Evil and Fatal Frame are you best choices.
