Well Soul Calibur is more of a weapons fighting game while Tekken is like Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter. I like Soul Calibur better for many reasons, the weapons being one and the characters being two. I'm too lazy to state the other reasons. Graphics....
I dont know... I really like Soul Calibur... Well except for that dummy that I just cant beat because he flies when I ring him out... Gr. Better go with Tekken. =D
Tekken 3 was good, but after that the fighting system went downhill. Soul Calibur II's fighting system was excellent or at least near excellent. Tekken 4 sucked, tekken 5 was about the same as soul calibur III's fighting system. sorry, soul calibur has had the better fighting system since Soul Calibur was born.

After having played DOA for 2 months: Soul calibur has very unbalanced characters. some matchups are just broken in pvp Tekken may have balanced fighters all moves seem to go at an terribly slow pace I'l stick with dead or alive
I like both fighting games but I am more of a Tekken fan. Both fighters are unique and created by the same company so which ever you choose Namco still wins.
