I noticed this the other day and was wondering if anyone else did?
I went to EB games, hoping to find a used version of FF8 because my disc 2 was damaged and i couldn't get past the point where you go down memory lane with all your party members at Trabia Garden. (about my 10th time playing that game hehe) Ya i know, it was a long shot seeing how these games are rare.
And i found about four brand new versions of ffvii, ffviii and ffix. According to the EB Game managers, S-E has made copies of their games and sold them to various stores..(i've only seen them in EB game stores.). The content of the games are the same, however, the pictures on the disks have changed. They are greatest hits versions, with just writing on them instead of the pictures of their faces. (in the case of ff8).
I think it's a good idea by S-E..because it gives ppl who haven't played a chance to, or for those of us who have poor condition disks (mine resulted from lending them out too much ... >>) we can still get new ones.
