Tales of.. or .hack serie?

i feel like i played/own  most rpg on the ps2, well the decent looking ones anyways, and the tales of ... and .hack series are the 2 main ones i havent even tried yet, or heard much about

what can you tell me about those 2? wich is the one you feel is better
im not looking for any final  fantasy, suikoden, kh,  star  ocean, dark clouds, xenosaga, disgaea, breath of fire, phantom brave, dragon quest, radiata stories, shadow hearts, shin megami tensei, stella deus or wild arms as i have played or own those games

I'd go with Tales of the Abyss, it's pretty good. 

Tales of Legendia isn't all that good and I haven't cared much for the .Hack series either(haven't played the new one).

tales pf symphonia was a suberb game, very underatedbxgt

Tales of Symphonia is the greatest Tales of game in my opinion, but unfortunately it didn't release for the PS2 here (it did in Japan though).

I hate .hack//Infection. I haven't tried the G.U. series, but soon will.

I heard Tales Of the Abyss was a great game. I'm thinking of getting it.
