I heard from someone else that the engine has flaws and this is why they made dark ressurection. I myself would still pick it up along with soul calibur 3.death-touch
Na, the reason they released Dark Ressurection is because it is actually Tekken 5.2 ie. a later game. It was released on Arcade machines and has more characters and more stuff and Namco were going to have to encode a game for the PSP, so why not the later version.
As for the game itself, I got it and have played it SOOOOO much. It's an awesome multiplayer game. The newest edition is faster, more moves, deeper and cooler.
I didn't really like Soul Caliber. It was fun, but I found it to be somewhat more of a button masher. Just my opinion so none of you fanboys better quote me and start bashing or I'm going to have to prod you with a flaming bargepole!

Na, if you actually get really into it and learn some combos and play it a lot, you can beat button mashers hands down. Me and a mate of mine at uni who was my neighbour had almost daily sessions of Tekken 5 for sooooooooo long and now playing it is just second nature so when I play a button masher, it's just pretty easy to beat them because you know what moves can be mashed on the pad with each character and how to counter them.
Any fighting game can be a button masher if you make it to be.Â
Soul Calibur is targeted more for casuals. It's the best fighter for n00bs and casuals and there is room for the hardcore crowd. But, Tekken is simply better, the game is all about offense and has more support from the true fighting game fans. I suggest Virtua Fighter but it's truly an acquired taste.

I concurÂ
I think Tekken 5 is a great buy, not only is it at a greatest hits price but it also includes Tekken 1,2 & 3. I think 5 is the best version thus far -although Tekken Tag is right up there for me as well- and it's the most polished.Terami
I dunno, I loved Tekken Tag especially with the 4 player mode, but after playing Tekken 5, the gameplay in Tekken Tag seems REALLY slow :PÂ

I liked the tag feature but most of all, I liked being able to choose from all of the characters. I liked playing as Jun.Please Log In to post.
