I played the arcade version, and it was kind of punch, kick in slow. I wonder if the ps2 version is any good. Is the fighting fast? Not overly complicated like tekken 4? I mean like, in Tekken 4 there were a lot of combos that were hard to memorize. Are graphics good? Thanks. I am just looking for unplayed good games.Â

if you're into martial arts fighting then go for tekken 5, if you like fighting with weapons then go for soul calibur 3, i agree with HoodedMurdere, tekken 5 is the best fighting game on the ps2
Yah, I played the demo of Soul Calibur and it gets annoying when you are trying to land a hit and he pokes you in the face with his weapon. I was so close to getting Tekken 5, 2 days ago. But as soon as I mentioned that FFXII was a strategy game, my dad pushed me to that game. Ehh, he chose a game for me. Kind of boring still.

FFXII isn't a strategy game:? anyways, Tekken5 is the best fighter on PS2, and if your a fan of fighting games then you should definitely get it
I agree... oh by the way... the game-play is allot faster than any other Tekken. If you no good at it... be prepare for a Continue screen in matters of seconds. Unless you play it on easy which IMO, should never have that setting in the first place.

Oh, damn I just found out that I am the person who has the most trouble playing any games.
It's very good, I think I bought it off of Ebay for $20. I play it with my girlfriend every now and then. The graphics are very well done, and you won't be disappointed with those. The fighting is really fast, not slow at all. Get it if you have two controllers and at least two friends. :P
tekken 5 is the best 3d fighter on ps2 IMO. second is soul calibur 2. VF4 is in there somewhere, but it's too technical for many people, including myself.
Trust me, it's worth your money. Best Tekken game yet. Great graphics, even greater gameplay, plus the ability to play the original Tekken games. Whats not to like?
I have played all the games in the Tekken series and Tekken 5 is definetly the best. The graphics are some of the best on the PS2 and I actually thought that the speed increased loads compared to Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag Tournament, the best fighting game ever in my opinion.
Its one of the best fighting games yet. I've been playing fighting games since Double Dragon on Sega, and this blows away any of the previous tekken games out. Great to see a boxing kangaroo in the game!! (I'm an Aussie)
Only n00bs think that Tekken is too slow or robotic. That's why they go to something less refinded such as Soul Calibur or those dumb anime based crap button mashers. The beauty of Tekken is that its a game all about offense.

You need to realize that games like SC, Tekken, or VF can't be done properly online. The games run on milisecond frames and our high speed technology is not fast enough to process it through long distances. Lag also sucks. Dead or Alive went online, simply because it had to be edited, with very mixed results. It feels often bouncy and it still lags.
