The series that truly defines the PS2..

In other words... Which was the best series to come out on the PS2??If ur option is not on the list then pls specify..
Mine would be God Of War closely followed by MGS..
God Of War truly defines what PS2 is capable of and is easily one of the best games to be released not only on the PS2 but on any console..
M only talking bout the series exclusive to the PS2 and may be later ported to the PC..

How could GTA define the PS2 when their on PC, and Xbox?

Final Fantasy X for me. JRPGs are the only reason I own a PS2.

Scratch that, I ment Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. IMO they're not nearly the best PS2 JRPG series, but definately DEFINE the PS2. The best would have to be either Shadow Hearts or Shin Megami Tensei (I'm leaning more towards Shin Megami Tensei)

When I think of PS2 I think of Kingdom Hearts 1 and Final Fantasy X

Metal Gear Solid 2, Final Fantasy X, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Soul Reaver 2, Silent Hill 2, Zone of Enders and more

why ? because even before PS2's release these games made the impact with their trailers and with their success when they are released, PS2 started to become legend

most people say ff, mgs, etc...

i say ICO, SotC. One game i really consider to be the best.

To me the series that defines the PS2 is:

GTA

God of War

MGS and

SOCOM

It has to be the MGS + GT + GTA + FF series!

Other series that enhanced the definition of the ps2 would be...Tekken, DMC, GoW, and Square's RPGs.

This topic fails for putting final fantasy in the same option as the pos kingdom hearts.

You're right. And the fact that MGS2:Substance was the only PS2 MGS that was ported over pretty much says it all. I think it hit XBOX a full year after PS2.
