Are third-party memory cards reliable? I know on GameCube that they're worthless, so I was wondering if it's the same with PS2.

The Nyco memorycard that I have has been good for the last three years. But i have had bad experiences with others so try at your own risk.

I got one once that was 16mb and it was really cool but everytime you wanted to play a game on that memory card you had to load a disc first. It was freakin annoying and then I losted the disc with blew! :( So I probably would stick to the normal ones. They are just easier.

Dunno. They might be good enough, but i don´t like them. I prefer to use Sony or Logitech accesories for my tuned-up PS2

I have had trouble with one, once, but it was enough to make me stick with the much more expensive Sony brand.

Oh man yeah. I had the same one and for the first 2 months I had it, I had no idea how to use it. Later I found out how to work it but I bought a new one anyways because I couldn't stand loading the disk for every damn time I opened the PS2.
