how is the game without all the censorships?
since the edited version didnt do so hot in the market, i expect people to start getting the unedited version from anywhere they can.

no need to say where u got it from, just say how it is...

no body really has the uncut manhunt 2. PSP owners can hack it to remove some of the censors, but the ps2 version can't be modified.

research before your other foot ends up in your mouth... there's a replacement .ini file that lets you uncensor the ntsc version of the game, and there are now gamebreaker codes that remove the censor as well. plus, the fully uncensored pal version (beta) was released ages ago (if you know where to look)... how is it you ask? exactly the same, only bloodier. that's not really that great, unless you enjoy the game. personally, i found it doesn't hold a candle to the original. it's alright, but somethings missing somehow.

Are you talking about the PSP version? Is there any way to remove the censors from the retail PS2 version?

Even if you are able to remove the blur/color crap, it still does not mean that any of the removed kills will be back in. (like the pipers and the nutsack) So the only way to have an uncensored version is to get the beta.

which i have, and in all reality, you're not missing much... very little was removed, and the beta is hard to play through, thanks to countless bugs and freezing issues...

I got the ntsc version and the patch that uncensors the game but...it was still censored. The kills were sketchy like and didn't understand much.I went to settings,audio/video...messed with those a bit...and it's a bit better, but the scenes are still sketchy.I want to know if i'm doing something wrong or if i just can't get rid of that sketch feature.

My personal feelings on the game aside, part of the reason why you're maybe not seeing what all the shouting is about even in the uncensored version or the beta or whatever, is because it doesn't exsist to the extent that would set off your personal "Holy SH*" meter... you know how people on the outside of this hobby can look at something and see a lot more shock value than you or I do... but that's because we've intentionally desensitized ourselves... it takes a bit more on the screen to move us...

... there's nothing wrong with this condition, any more than there's anything wrong with going progressively deaf due to daily exposures of excessive sound levels like lawn mowers, transit trains, or iPods... it's a factor in your life as a gamer that you do indeed accept a little higher level of potentially objectionable content, either because you're open-minded and try not to judge or because you've "seen it before" and you're getting jaded.

Perhaps clamouring after this particular title any further is like Ahab's White Whale... in digging and scratching after this game you're missing a lot of others that're floating by.

Just a thought... I don't hate the game, I don't call it bad or stupid, etc. etc., I am beyond that. It just occured to me that there just may be very little "missing".

Is there no one who can help me with this? I saw some footage without that sketch feature i'm talking about, but i'm sure it's from the BETA version.I wanna know if i'm doing somthing wrong or is the uncensored verision different from the BETA one, meaning it's not all uncensored.

very well said, and i agree on every point. after years of watching horror movies and playing the most violent games on the market, i definitely self-proclaim myself to be totally desensitized... but only to "fake" violence. the things they show on CNN still scare the living **** outta me, because i am able to tell the difference between real and imaginary. it seems to me those who believe that violent videogames breed violent people are the ones that have major trouble differentiating between the two.

With a name like Sgt. Fragg, I'm guessing that you've played an FPS or two. Have you ever gotten into a deathmatch in any of those games? What kind of killing is that, exactly?

There's no difference here. Sam Fisher doesn't sneak up on characters who're scratching their junk and talking about getting mashed on drugs, and he doesn't cut out their larynx via the scrotum granted, but it's the same sort of game... if you group "Gran Turismo" and "BurnOut" in the same catagory as "Racing Games" then you'd be hard-pressed to TECHNICALLY differentiate the "Manhunt" series with the "Splinter Cell" series as "Stealth"... one chooses to steer clear of certain trappings in which the other indulges, but they're the same genre...

Who would want to play it? Stealth fans with a "socially deviant" mind instead of stealth fans with a Black-Ops fetish. Where's the harm, exactly? I don't really see any, it's a video game. Video games are harmless. The unconscionable tools who felt the need to market the game using cheap sensationalistic tactics like pissing off a congressman (gee, THERE'S something difficult to do) to sell a unit or two, THEY are flippin' jag-bait who need to be castrated with a dull spoon.

... but I digress...

Fragg, don't hate them because they chose to play one game and not another... I'm sure if we looked around your title library we'd all find one or two we'd raise an eyebrow over.

Tollerance.

I've played the beta version... not impressed... probably the game won't impress me either...

I think the only problem with Manhunt (the first and this one) is to deliver a good story, it's cool to kill people in gruesome ways but without a story in the background it grows old pretty fast.
