i hated resident evil 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..ok.the gameplay is great..i rented it from my local store..and started it..had a blast..  i then saved it..i came back..everything on my memory card was corrupted..made me sooo mad..i lost everything on my memory card..so im like..ok..it was just the memory card..i tried to save it on my other one..i did..then i came to load it..everything on my other memory card was corrupted too..jsut cuz of that game..and it wasnt a third party memory card either..it was a sony..and a madcatz..i am not going to play this game EVER againianp_91

Some people are probably picking up PS2s now because of the low price and great library... these kinds of threads help them decide which games to buy (even though we DO have a search function and all the answers in this thread have been posted AT least once before... :P).

Same thing happened to my memory card. I thought my PS2 or my memory card (sony 8mb) is defective. Several Days I bought 2 games, Katamary Damacy and Dragon Quest 8. All worked well except for RE4 it has saving and loading issues. Is the game you rented "Greatest Hits" Edition because thats what I have right now and replaced it twice but it still occurs same problem
