I have to say this game has the most entertaining (and challenging) combat system i have ever seen in an RPG and ive played alot :) I know that tri ace games in particular are known for having fun battle systems but are there any titles that can compete with this?
Also wanted to add tat the graphics are gorgeous! absolutely the best looking game in the genre, FFXII has nothing on this game.
I assume it is the new one you are talking about since ou are comparing its graphics to FFXII. Graphics are stunning and the battle system is one of a kind. Takes a while to get used to but there are some really clever mechanics in there. I played the original and loved it to bits, imagine my surprise when 7 years later out of the blue I read an article on a prequel!
I would not classify that as a negative point. This game exhibits many unique ideas and believe me something of the kind is needed because RPGs are becoming staler by the minute.
It is a great game....I bought it about a year ago but haven't beaten it yet because it is a difficult game...and now that I want to play it, I can't....my ps2 is out of commission for now....
