I just finished God Hand and I don't ever wanna touch that game again. It was dang hard. I know I've seen this thread before but let me know what you've accomplished anyways.
I found God Hand in the bargain bin the other day and haven't opened it yet, but I love a challenge so this thread has me looking forward to it :D
It's weird because I've beaten a lot of tough games, but the one I had the most problem with and still finished never gets mentioned as being very hard-- Half-Life (PC). I must have died 200-300 times during that game, and by the end of it I wanted to smash my monitor with my keyboard. Either I sucked really bad at it or I had it on hard mode and didn't realize it (which is possible since I do that with a lot of games I play through for the first time, but I don't remember if I did it with that game).
I finished both GOWs on on normal mode. I am not touching those games on God difficulty. NO WAY!
Yeah, I tried Black on the PS2 onBlack Ops mode and it was dang frustrating.
For me, theFF franchise gets very difficult when you start going for those bonus items such as side missions and hunts that do not pertain to the main story arc. Final bosses are normally a piece of cake compared to the bonus bosses. Except for FFX-2 final boss battles got a bit frustrating after a while
so many that trying to remember them would give me nightmares of the final levels, i still see the mechanical bull from GOW in my nightmares...
the tougest games:
Arc the Lad: End of Darkness
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Getting 100% on GT4 isn't what I would call difficult. It's more of an endurance test than a test of skill.
Racking up A-specpoints would be a better test of skill
