Do you remember those old PS2 commercials where, at the end, someone would shout "Playstation 2!! The third place!!" ...I never understood what that meant. Can someone fill me in?
Hmm...not sure tbh. Was a long time ago 2001 hehe. I always thought it meant that PS2 was "out of this world" or "from another dimension" or something like that. Shame it didn't turn out to be as good as the hype tho :(
I mean it WAS good just not as big as the hype is all. Good topic though :)
Hey , the PS2 has always been a great console ........... us PS2 owners get to choose from a variety of great games ranging from God of War series to Final Fantasy series ........ but if there's one thing that the PS2 lacks , it's FPS's :( .........

That's a pretty good way of looking at it. Does anyone know what it means for sure though?

Looking at the history of Sony and it's competetors each console has its gems...Playstation has always been the action/rpg, Xbox is for its FPS, and Nintendo is in general for its platformers and just laid back games. With more niche games jumping the console borders don't be surprised if the next gen games begin to break these borders and you start to see noteworthy rpg's on Xbox and respectable FPS on playstation consoles.
