My 5 must-have are:

1. Shadow of the Colossus is a must-have. Awesome experience.
2. Either Final Fantasy X or FFXII. Not finished FFXII, but either of them would be a great purchase.
3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. I played it first, and been told to play the other ones, and MGS3 is definitely the best, as long as you get Subsistence with the decent new camera.
4. Any GTA, or Canis Canem Edit, all of which are great action free-roamers.
5. Hitman: Blood Money is an intense, brilliantly-designed assassin game and well worth buying.
