I prefer graphics that has a very very little polygonal like SotC, RE 4, MGS 3, GTA series, and Bully. Hitman series also has the kind of graphics I like. Smooth graphics like GoW and MGS 2 is not my type.
I like the graphics of the ps2 better than the ps3. While the ps3's graphics are more realistic, the ps2's graphics seem to be more colorful. I haven't played the ps3 more than a couple times so I haven't seen what the ps3 is really capable of doing graphically. It seems that in order for games on next gen systems to create better realism they have to use less vibrant colors which might make it less cartoonish.
Well, I don't really see the difference in graphics between SotC and GoW, but I personally like Kingdom Hearts II's graphical style and cel-shading.SoulSlayer_
I agree, even though it was a last-gin game, Kingdom Hearts 2 still looks amazing.
yeah i think cel shading is great like dragon quest and rouge galaxy, plus GOW and MGs3 is nice,for me anything that looks like that has blocks are not realy good so smooth an steady graphichs is the way to go
I like all types of graphics. Depends on what type of mood I am in. Sometimes I am into the old school gaming like NES, and SEGA Genisis, and some days N64, or PSone graphics.
I miss 2-d games, those were my favorite. 3-d games don't have the same charm.johndoh4
yup, good ol 2d grfx are awesome, sprites, backgrounds and animation in 2d are my favorites, gunstar heroes is a great example of great looking 2d games. castlevania anyone? matel slug brought lots of charm in the shooter realm, megaman was just fun. 2d grfx al the way.
edit: in the 3d part, i must say square has some amazing talent for CG cutscenes, damn... as for ingame engines, i cant decide.
