Comes out on thurs down here in aus and i'm gonna be doing the same thing, although i dont start work till 6pm so i'm gonna sleep in then go pick it up and play till work.
Buying is a strong commitment. The next games I am looking forward to playing is Dawn of Mana, and the rest of the .Hack GU's. Its been while since i looked at the DoM site but what i remember are some amazing graphics. I will probably always regret not being able to finish secret of mana on SNES. It was fun, an im hoping this version will be fun also. If its just another menu driven rpg though i will not be interested in buying it. Menu driven = suck.
God of War 2, because I think the first one is one of the best games I have played in a long time. At first I avoided it because I thought it was overhyped hack and slash game. Pretty much the combo counting game. But after I picked it up last week I was completely blown away how well the story was. It was hard at times and made me take a second or two to figure out their little puzzles. I will be keeping the original in my collection for a long time to come. I can not wait for God of War 2 now that I know how good it really is.
Also it helps feed my desire to watch "300" that comes out next month.
I just bought FFX and Chaos theory. if you cant tell I havent owned a ps2 for a while:P FFX is far better than I expected, despite being completely linear so far, and Chaos theory, well I bought it for the online but nobody plays anymore. Too bad because socom bores the hell out of me and no other online game gives me the thrill of splinter cell online. Even Metal Gear Online doesn't give me that great sense of multiplayer stealth. The next game I'm buying is probably Okami or Bully, I havent yet decided.
You never know with me, but the next game I'm planning on getting is God of War II. But I do want to pick up Ghost Rider and TMNT at some point, as well as a dozen or so games that I would pick up in a hearbeat if I could only find them, like Shadow of Rome.

FF XII is so amazing I cannot begin to explain it dude...I just stopped playing Resistance and started playing FF XII constantly...it's awesome.
