Well, I have enough games on my PS2 to last me another year or more... Getting a PS3 will not prevent me from enjoying those games, so I'm thinking March at the very earliest but September may be more realistic for me.Â
Is it just me, or is this "next gen" thing off to a really weird start?
I will be getting mine in two weeks time. Although not allot of excellent games too choose from but the fact that MGS 4 will be release some time this year, is enough of a reason for me to get one.
:D

A very weird start. From my perspective, it has shown that gamers here in the states were better off with the old method -- when they would release a PlayStation in Japan first, and then bring it over here months later. I know it would have meant everyone having to wait, but it sure seemed to benefit the games (both quantity and quality) for everyone to have more lead time with the machine and the dev kits.
I guess things will look really different in 6 months, and it won't matter so much by then. But for me, getting a new PS3 right after launch has been a very different, less exciting and satisfying experience than getting a new PS2 right after launch was. Proof once again that it's all about the games.
Re: original posters poll: None of the above. Already got one, but it's not so much an upgrade as an "in addition to".
seems like the general consensus is once the price drops/better games come out.
i personally am waiting for the Final fantasy series to come 13/versus.
