I think after 2008 they will stop making games for PS2 but i'm not sure. After 2007 they will stop makin Gamecube games I think.

Also when will they lower the price of PS3? probably next year but im also not sure on this topic.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ONESE TOPICS PLEASE INFORM ME!!!!!

Check the release schedule on IGN, there is very little happening over the next few months. To me it seems the end of the line for new games is very near, but there is a huge backlog of games to play on the PS2 that it won't make a huge difference.

well as of right now there are unconfirmed release dates up into march of 2008 for ps2. Wether the system will hold out till then is to be seen. As for PS3 expect a price cut most likely by next summer if sales keep going as poorly sa they are. With a price cut and a wider and better game selection you'll see ps3 rocket.

I think they will stop making games in 2009. There were psone games that came even two years after the ps2 was launched so the ps2 might follow that trend.

when you stop asking!!!! no seriously PS2 is cheap so cheap(system) great games at cheap prices(cheaper then the next gen..by like $20 bucks) so I heard it was gonna stop making games in the middle of 2008

i think in 2008 there will be a very few ps2 games and thee will also be a price drop for ps3 in 2008 or maybe 2009

Proably half way through next year. And I wouldn't be surprised if one came out ever once in a while anyway. I remember seeing a few new PS1 games coming out in 2004.

I dont have any backlog left so i'l return to playing WoW for a while and see how the PS3 turns out.

From the looks of things now the PS3 might turn out like the gamecube last gen with only two games coming out a months while the other systems are being flooded.

Probably not for a while. Sony knows that a ton of people still have PS2's, and that they'll hold onto them for a while. I'd give the PS2 another 2 years, but you never know. I plan on getting a 360 around Christmas when the price drops (hopefully). PS3's price will definetaly drop sometime next year, which could mean a lot more sales for it.
