Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday. I want to ask which cable I should get for the PS2? My TV has S-Video, but no progressive scan ability. So I'm wondering which cable would I need? Currently I'm looking at this one and this one. I'm asking because I am thinking of getting a PS2 slim version. Thank you for your responses.

Does your TV support component? If so, then get the component cables. Plus, they're cheaper too.

It has a S-Video hook up. Is that considered component? I just wanted someone to tell me which cable (links are in my first post) I would need. Thanks.

from the two listed in your post, get the Monster Cable PLG300 S-Video Cable, since you say your tv has s-video... the other cable is a component cable, which is an entirely different thing. the s-video cable looks more like a plug that you would see on your keyboard, whereas component is a thee-way split video connection, seperating three color inputs (hence the five plugs... two for audio and three for video). check your tv, and see if it allows you to use component. s-video looks good, but component looks GREAT. there's a big difference between the two, but either way, the s-video will look much better than a normal rca cable.
