which devil may cry game?

im looking to buy a devil may cry game- either 1 or 3. and i was wondering which one everyone here prefered, #1 has a higher rating, but that was like (5) years ago, so does it still hold up to the standard.-- if i bought #3 i would probabaly buy the special edition.

also, which one is longer? how long are they in general?

Get DMC3, theres so much improvement in the gameplay.

I still prefer number one.

All of them have bad stories, bad cut scenes, bad music, recycled bosses, respawning baddies, bad voice acting, bad side characters and an annoying lead character.

However the third one is entertaining enough to play once in a long while due to the nicely animated fight sequences in which you have to button mash thru a long assortment of the above mentioned repeated baddies.

if u prefer storyline then u'd better get the 1st..

though the 3rd is a prologue to the story, it's still kinda better if u play from the 1st game..

you can always go on capcom.com they have the DMC serie for 40$$....so i would say youre better of buying the 3 of them...
