I think u can't compare those games. DMC 1 is soooooooo old, but it has an awesome gameplay; and graphs for the time this game was created. God of War 1 is more new, so some stuff is better, gameplay, graphs!!! are better, Maybe u can compare God of War 1, with Devil May Cry 3!! That would be a nice one 8)
God of War is easily one of the best series on the PS2 and I think everyone with a PS2 should play it (minus little kids and people who don't like blood)
Theyre both really great games, but i would have to say god of war. Like what was said it is 1 of the best games out for ps2. Although DMC is 2, but i think god of war is better. Cant go wrong either way,but buy gow.
I have already purchased both and think both have thier pros and cons. DMC is what the PS2 began on and the God of War Series will probably be among the games the PS2 ends on.
God of War has that cool greek mythology theme I love and Kratos is always pissed of and killing monsters the gods send to kill him.
Devil May Cry has a dark sort of Biblical theme to it and you are part demon:) and kill hellish demons and in both games you go to the underworldbut DMCs version is far more graphic it really gives you a sense of evil.
I have to say GoW, not be cause its my favorite or anything its just that DMC1 didnt age very well, i payed DMC1 the other day and it felt sooo old :? compared to dmc3 its so different. That didnt happen with GoW1 the game its just so similar to the 2nd game it doesnt feel like a downgrade.
