It's called Grand THEFT Auto,

but anyways I would say you should compare GTA III against God of War. I say this because both games are sequels that just expanded on the originals.

GTA III was a bigger impact on the PS2 because it was an exclusive for the PS2 and was really a huge step for the series. If you've played GTA or GTA2, you know what i mean. God of War is also a great game, but it's not revolutinary.

I like the God of war series, but the GTA series has a better replay value in my opinion. I play San Andreas still (rarely play the older ones though)

Agreed, also GoW 2 wasn't innovaitve in my opinion. Aside from the story, I felt all the extra gameplay should of been apart of the first one anyway (they both were way too short).

Gta San andreas has made the bigger impact because everybody had been waiting for it and i wondered if it would live up to all the hype but it did the best game for ps2 yet
