Yeah. I'm only gonna buy one. Just wanted to see what people like best. I've been looking at Japanese RPGs recently. Dragon Quest VIII and Tales of Symphonia both look good but Symphonia is hard to find for a decent price.
Bully is instantly tossed aside for me, it didnt do anything different than GTA and lacks all the things that make gta great.Â
Jak and Daxter are ok. I dont remember if i beat any of them or not. They have alot to do in them. I much prefer Ratchet and Clank though those are some awesome platformer games. I love the cutscenes.
DQ8 has a lame ass combat system that is waaaay outdated but it is also feels very classic. The storyline is eh.  I like the 3d world and the level grinding but it just doesnt hold my attention very well. I've yet to rerent it and beat it.
Which would would be my favorite?  Thats a hard call. Jak and Daxter is more fun but DQ8 is more classic and offers more story...  I guess if i was going to buy the one i pick i would go with DQ8.  However, I gotta say there are much better games out there than those and i probably wouldnt own any of these.
I dont know much about Dragon Quest, Jak III seems good but I lost interest in the series. Bully is great, especially if you play long enough to get off of the school property and do missions in the town--I would recommend Bully, the gameplay is fun, the missions don't get old and anyone who thinks it isn't worth it because the game structure is similar to GTA clearly hasn't played Bully--it has a completely different feel than a GTA game and you can't really compare the two.
Bully is the only game on that list that I have played, or have any interest in. So naturally thats the one I'd suggest. I love RPGs, just DQ has never held my interest.
