Resident Evil 4. Prince of Persia SoT comes close though (if it incorporated the superior combat system of the later games it would be an easy 10, for me at least).
final fantasy X and X-2 were trash games, I forced myself to beat X and played 2 hours of X-2 and traded it in. they deserve 4s across the board. if any game deserves a 10 it would be MGS2, MGS3, GTA:SA, GoW, Burnout Revenge. I would say SotC but the controls in that game were so f**king annoying I would have to say the developers made the controls an acutal challenge because the game is so simple (great game tho, i really enjoyed it and the story very much so) . Have yet to play FFXII yet but it's very promising and I will play it and most likely enjoy it. I also want to try Okami that game looks good too. if anyone wants to dispute me go ahead, my points are researched, tagged and valid.Â
   I say DMC3, FFXII, definitly FFVII (not a ps2 game but it deserves a 10), and FFX. A few games that i haven't played enough to know that itsx worth a 10 are MGS1, 2, 3, DMC1, and i'll say GOW, but in my opinion it isn't worth a 10, the 9.3 seems fair.
mgs2 surely deserves a 10... It's the craziest, but for sure it has the most well developed storyline of the videogame story.
dmc3 got some errors that make him outa of the list... but the storyline sure is great too... though it's not good enough to reach 10... but has what it takes to get a 9
About FFX and X-2... Did you guys played FFVII? Til now for me... It's the only FF storyline that really could lock me in... and for graphics, take a peek at FFXII... it owns it ¬¬
Kingdom Hearts series too... I don't know which reasons Gamespot had to give the games rates under 9. One of the best storylines PS2 has too
Can't really think of any game I've played that does..whether due to length, subpar story, pacing, graphical/audio glitches or whatever..Final Fantasy X certainly doesn't, I can say that much. Grandia II certainly deserved much higher than it received though..
Metal Gear Solid 2, Final Fantasy X, Burnout Revenge and Devil May Cry deserve a 10. Okami and Final Fantasy XII are shaping up to be a 10 for me. God of War should be 9 compared to the games I just listed (overhyped).
