I for one can. I am not a hater, and i dont just dislike the game out of principal cause its so popular. When I got the game i kinda got borred from the story, to me it was all the same, shooting NPC's, stealing cars, shooting more NPC's and doing a few mini games. And after the story mode was done, it was pretty much just shooting NPC's, and using cheats. Then again this is just an oppinion, plz dont flame me.
Well, I don't dislike it, but I don't like it as much as most people. The story never really interests me, and the missions can be repetitive, but they're also very addicting. I never seem to get bored and can completely forget time while playing GTA.

I really don't care for the game either. I admit to buying GTA III and trying GTA IV hoping it would be better, but it's just more of the same. I do like the sandbox style of gameplay, but overall I'm going to avoid this game in the future.

Should it not be the oposite? Not to start a flame war or anything but a young kid is more likely to go "cool i want to be like them when i grow up!" While as one gets older one can do with less thrash and more talk

GTA is great..then again i am a gta fan so what did you expect?? but i will admit this after you beat the missions it does get pretty boring,but thats 100 hours og gameplay so you don't feel ripped off
GTA = boring unless your easily amused. Poor gameplay mechanics across the board. I can put up with poor graphics for the sake of huge environments. I just cant put up with sloppy gameplay.
I do have high hopes for GTA4 though. If they utilies the euphoria engine, the physics and AI should be pretty nice. And considering theyre rebuilding the game from the ground up the mechanics should be much better.
i respect what the gta series stands for and what it brought to the table in terms of gameplay and future gameplay, but to be honest im not a huge fan of actually playing the game. To me there is just TO much to do, i usually just steal a car shoot out all 4 tires then try to see how long i can run from the cops lol
I got to say I love the IDEA of GTA but the games are always so glitchy and imo just poorly made that I don't enjoy them as much as some people I know. I wish they'd beef up the graphicm iron out all the glitches and get some people with some actual artistic ability to design the games. It's like a game made by a bunch of jocks or something. The idea of it is just so sweet though. Too bad the actual quality of the games are pretty much next to crap.
I never really enjoyed the gta games. Maybe i liked them for a about a mission or two, but at the end of the day, i have to admit that it has some of the poorest dialog, story, graphics, gameplay mechanics and lacks realism. I kinda enjoyed the very first gta, as well as number 3 but the rest just suck.
As much as the mechanics in GTA annoy me, and as bad as the graphics can get, I love GTA. I really like free-roaming. I spend a lot of time just driving around in the same car just getting immersed in the environment (especially in Vice City). This is where the game really works. In Vice City, I love driving down the strip at near dawn while listening to the Jan Hammer Miami Vice theme. No, I'm not running around stealing cars and shooting pedestrians; and maybe if I were I'd get really tired of the franchise. That said, my dream is a driving game of PGR2 and Forza caliber that let's me drive through a real city environments and countrysides with pedestrians and stop lights as in GTA and Midtown Madness through random weather, and listening to good music. I could do that for hours so I'm wierd.
