I never finished it but someone I knew had it and I got up to after the Baelrog fight and I thought it was a pretty fun game. I need to buy it eventually. I liked it because the battle system was like FFX.
i havent finished it either. But it is still realy fun to play. i like it better than FF12, and its tied with FF10 (sorry, i stinck with roman numerals,lol) It was a genius idea to take lord of the rings and make it like final fantasy. i like how you have turns instead of like FF12 where its just all ablur, no time to think because everything is going so fast.
Actually I finished it twice it really is a great game I don't know why it went under the radar like it did maybe because everybody was expecting it to have the characters from the movies in it and they only had cameo's.:|

I actually think this game would have been better if they used the characters from the movies. It wouldn't have been hard to implement and I think some people thought the characters in the third age were just cheesy knock-offs of the characters from the film (which they were) but it was still a great game regardless of that fact.
