Not yet. I've a lot of catching up to do. There are still a crap load of ps2 games that i haven't played yet. Maybe when i finish all the gamesI want to play, I'll move on to thenext generation (or if there is a price drop :)).
Nope not yet.... :D There are tons of games I own that I want to play and there are still enough games coming out for it. On top of that: the PS3 costs way to much.
I'm just fine with my PS2. Don't play it quite as much as I use to and from what I can tell there aren't any more games coming out that I'd wanna play. But the PS2 games I do have are so good tha I'll always go back and play em again. Heck I'm currently doing my one billionth play through of Kingdom Hearts.
And as for the PS3.... Thats more like a step backwards right now. Currently there are only four games I want on it, and only one of those are even available right now. Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I'm still waiting for Lair, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4.
I'm not even going to consider buying a PS3 until MGS4 is out. But if MGS4 turn out to be available on the 360, then screw the PS3. All the other games arent worth getting a PS3 over.
The current ps3 game library is worse than the wii, the x360, the ps2, the xbox, the gamecube, the dreamcast, the ps1, the n64, the saturn, the snes, the genesis and the original nes.
Even though i bought an xbox 360 and the wii i found myself still using my playstation 2!
But disaster struck and about 2 months ago my ps2 randomly stopped working! it wont power up and i checked the fuse on the plug nothing seemed out of place, it now rests under my bed and i am surprised it has lasted as long as it did (i bought it on release day and it has had a pounding since) That is when i was forced to leave my ps2.
No...the only ones willing to leave PS2 right now are richboys who are obsessed with mindless and identical sports games because the new generation consoles are lame they don't have halo 3 for xbox, they dont have final fantasy for PS3, and gamecubes zelda is gamecube quality also too expensive so I'm definitely not buying anytime soonZathic
So everybody else must be rich? Have you ever considered that you just might be poor? Get a job and save some money it aint hard. deliver mail or fill the shelves at the local grocery store, plenty of choise.
Besides being "ready" for the transition to next gen has nothing to do with buying one right this instant it just means that you have seen pretty much everything the old generation had to offer. I am "done" with the PS2 gen, the PS3 does not interest me much yet but there are still plenty of games i want for the PS1!
WTF?? I guess I will be the first honest person and say me!! Im ready!! After seeing those pics of GTA4 and the next Soul Calibur game im gonna freaking cry when they get released and I dont have a ps3. I just cant afford one and thats the bottom line. Also just thinking about 60-70$ games is another huge roadblock. I mean even if you get a ps3 you are going to be screwed everytime a new game comes out that you have to have because they are so freaking expensive and for most of that crap its just a graphics upgrade. no extra content or length, no new functionality or options.
If money wasnt an issue I would have one right now and so would everyone else. Thats the sole reason the Wii is outselling the hell out of ps3's. And I would NEVER get an xbox for anything over 50$. It has a couple of wicked games(fable/kotor) but Im not a fan of multiple console markets and thats the ones i choose to protest hehehe.
