Why Get A PS3?

My mate got a PS3, but I couldn't help thinking it was a big waste of £400 really. I still love my PS2, I've still got a dozen games I can play and some I still even need to complete, and there are loads of great games I still haven't bought! The PS2 is going to keep me going for at least a year yet, and likely a lot longer.

And I'm not even online with it. It's crazy! But I get to keep my £400 :)

You obviously have a problem if your friend bought something that does not affect you physically or maybe emotionally. Are you affraid that your friend will stop talking to you or something because of his or hers new toy?2deluxe

:S No I'm just saying that I think it's a bit pointless spending £400 on something when theres argueably the great back catalogue in videogaming to play through on the PS2 he had alread, and he's got a PSP.

If you have a TV that supports HDMI or Component cables for HD and have high speed internet then the PS3 is worth every $1.

i dunno, i dont really see any big reason to rush out and go buy a ps3 right now either. I am currently very happy with my PS2, and all its back library, most of which you can buy for less than $10 a piece now-a-days. People i know got the PS3 because of games that they're hoping will be badass for the system, and they haven't even come out yet. I dont doubt that Killzone 2 will be awesome. I loved the first one. but i dont see why thats good reason to buy a PS3 for so much money right now, the game isn't even out yet. that seems to be the case for most of all the games i'm looking forward to on the PS3. they're not out for another year. so i'll wait another year to consider buying one. maybe the price will drop by then.

i just dont reason in buying a PS3 for so much money, then letting it sit around until the games i want even come out for it.
