First let me say that I am perfectly content with my PS2 and in my opinion it is the greatest system yet. I am , however, worried that developers will say they are releasing games on PS2 when in fact they are practically making a big demo of a new-gen system on PS2. So far this has not happened yet, but I am afraid that with games like Rock Band, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, and even the Simpsons Game being available on several system old and new, that the developers will start to care less and less about making the PS2 versions of the game as good as the new-gen systems. The good thing however is that the PS2 (maybe all the way through the new-gen) will get Wii-Moteless versions of 3rd party Wii games (i.e. DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3). I can only hope this continues to happen, even with games like Soul Calibur: Legends.
The good thing is we (the poor boys who can't afford the fany-pants HD systems) can always play the best games from the past years and we can hope that the 3rd party games go like this: New-gen systems get an upgrade of the PS2/Wii version as apposed to the PS2/Wii getting a down-graded version.
The bad thing it almostall good things end eventually and eventually we will have to move on. The biggest thing is that the PS2 continues to have good games until we (the less privilaged gamers) can afford to move on.
Well?
