Wow...something amazing has happened today...i cannot believe it.

Today...i was looking for what game to buy...and i just couldnt find any game that i wanted....i think i have every game that i want for the PS2...is amazing...

I brought a second ps2 this january (i had one but i sold iton 2003...) so is...July now and i have 55 games... i just cant find another game to buy...i dont know what to do...should i buy a new console...maybe an xbox? *GASP* since i already have a gamecube....AHHH THE MADNESS!!!!

Anyways, don't buy another last-gen console, unless you can't afford a new-gen console. I'd recommend the Wii if you have a lot of friends/family members around, or if you can't afford a 360, and I'd recommend a 360 for awesome single player games (especially by the end of the year) and awesome multiplayer. PS3 is recommended only if you like to throw money in the fireplace and watch it slowly burn.

well i wouldnt buy a 360 if i was you, unless your idea of playing the best games of next gen is waiting for your system to come back for repair. eventually, most of them will die, i think MS already admitted there is a design flaw that has the potential to kill any 360. i would wait till they figure that out, but by then they will probably launch the next system cus you know a generation to them is only like 3 or 4 years.

there are more ps2 games out there, try genres you thought you would never like, and you might find a couple games in there you love. and wait till this winter and maybe get a ps3 cus all the great games are coming finally :D wii has great games coming to, about 3 of them to be exact, but i wouldnt get a 360 until they fix the hardware, yeah they are putting new chips to cut down heat but the also said they would stop dying when elite came out, it never happened. i will believe it when one of these tech sites stress test the new chips and whatnot.

If you bought 55 games for your PS2, then I'm going to go out on a limb and say you really liked your PS2.

Since PS2 is on its way out and being replaced with PS3, why not take the next step? I've been a Playstation owner since the beginning. It just never lets me down. Great games come out for it every year.

Xbox 360 isn't a bad idea either, but I'd rather have a PS3.

You want a console to play with mates, go the wii.

You want a console with the best games atm, go the 360

You want a console will have the most to offer (i.e HOME, free online, etc) go the ps3

There are always game to buy on the PS2. It's a neverending stream ofawesome to be honest.

Don't buy either a PS3 or 360. You need an HDTV for a true upgrade and the PS3 doesn't have any games whereas the 360 will break.

If you like fighters you could try Tekken 5 or Soul Calibur III. Perhaps if you are a Dragon Ball fan you should give Budokai 3 a chance too.

Ace Combat 5 is a great Flight sim game

Gran Turismo 4 is just plain great if you like driving sims, if not NFS Carbon or the Burnout games are great choices too.

Timesplitters is a great franchise with awesome multiplayer, or if you wanna give it a shot, Killzone may be good (its more of a love or hate game, I love it but others dont lol)

Devil May Cry 3 is just plain kick ass action and also the God of War games

GTA San Andreas is a sweet game with tons of gamesplay.

Final Fantasy XII is great too, and has lots of gameplay time. If you prefer old school RPG you can try Dragon Quest 8 (not a game I woud play though)

Never forget the jewels of the PS2: ICO, OKAMI and SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS and ZONE OF THE ENDER: THE 2ND RUNNER

I've got a similar problem to u cuz I have 83 games on my PS2 and now I'm going to check other consoles :) Before I will buy next-gen console I'm going to play on my PSP and Gamecube , and I'm wondering about buying a Dreamcast console for Shenmue and maybe X-box for Panzer Dragon and Ninja Gaiden :)) but maybe u could writte your games list so then I could advice you a little bit better which game you should buy :)

Its not totally needed to upgrade, but if you have many PS2 games, and want to try new stuff, as well as old games, a sure bet is PS3, with the cheap one at 500 now its not that expensive to cheap guys. And you will get to play PS2 games, and also new stuff too.

And now Im sure a Wii/360 fanboy is gonna piuck on me for saying this lol.

willxcool isright. 55 games is too little. It's so impossible not to find another PS2 game to buy if you only have 55. I have 70+ PS2 games and there are still a lot out there that I want to play/own.

Get a current gen console. If you wait a few months, PS3 you can't go wrong with. The 360 has a lot of good games, and the Wii has a lot of fun games. Either way, PS2 is too old to keep buying new games for.

Let's put it this way, out of 8,571 hundreds of games for the PS2 he likes 55. That is only .6 percent. Out of 338 (out or to be out) Xbox 360 titles thats only 2 games. The playstation 3 has even fewer and so on. Sure there is a selection there, but tiny compared to the PS2. So, yes there are only a couple of games for each gamer's tastes out there...they aren't going out and buying 200+ games.

Now, what was that point you were trying to make besides making broad, generalizing statements about people and their financial situations instead of seeing the issue from a logical standpoint of common sense?

Now who's to say he's going to like a higher percentage of any of the other consoles if their number of games is so limited..in comparison to the already established PS2 library. I think there are more than 2 worthwhile games, but personally not enough RIGHT NOW to warrent a purchase.
