DMC is pretty cool - i just got to the vanguard battle and defeated him. I'm not sure if this game is my thing but i'm guessing I will earn new ablilties/moves?
 also, I am at trickster style right now, but i'm concerned, because i dont rely on evasive moves as much as i do sword/gunplay. Any bits of wisdom on the "styles" system of the game?

1st- yes, you learn TONS of new moves, and get lots of new weapons, and 2 more styles

2nd-Â if you don't use your dashes that much, i would suggest switching to Swordmaster, or Gunslinger
Great choices indeed...it would be hard to decide which to start out with though...If you want fast and furious action the DMC3 is the way to go while if you prefer taking on 16 giant colossi by your small, young but brave character then play Shadow of the colossus...or you could do the coin toss thing .....whatever!!!  Have fun!
I wanted to update my thread - I'm loving SOTC and I'm facing the third guy today (he's proving to be a tough one) but, I dislike DMC3, the gameplay is not satisfying whatsoever and I'm trading it in @ ebgames to buy Manhunt, a game which is more my speed. I at least gave it a shot, I went through four missions.
