i was wondering what do you guys think is the must have game that is OUT ALREADY for the PS3? i personally dont have a PS3 but im asking because im buying a gift for a friend. any rating is suitable and as of now im leaning towards Little Big Planet. BTW my friend is a girl but she plays all types of games. thanks for the help.

+1... I'd have to say either Uncharted or Warhawk because it is so fun. But the bet game to show the system off with and to see its true power would be with Uncharted.

Uncharted is still my favorite as well, but if you want a really aggressive FPSer, you'll get some time out of Resistance: Fall of Man. Now that the holiday season is upon us, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2 are great for online play. This, of course, disregards the multiple console releases.

I would say MGS 4, but I doubt your friend has played the others. Uncharted or Resistance 2 are your best bets. If your friend has played the other MGS games then MGS4 would be a great gift.

if you are looking for an exclusive, mgs4,littlebigplanet or resistance 2. 3 excellent games. if i had a choice i would choose.....

I agree. Uncharted is THE game to get if you have a PS3. I loved it and can't wait for the sequel.

MGS4 for an epic single player game that you won't regret playing. Also LBP for an amazing paltformer and co-op game. So basically just get both games.

Why is there so much hate for Lair lol.

Main reason was for controls, and now you can control the dragon via dual analog sticks with DLC from store...

I beat Lair with the motion controls and I loved it, it was an intense game shaking the controller like mad trying to rip the dam open to pwnz0r every creature and boat in the area, I thought it was great getting on the ground to stop and eat people...I thought it was a great game.

But yeah, Uncharted:Drakes Fortune, MGS4, R2 or LBP are my first choices, although I did love Lair...clearly everybody else hates it :P.

P.S - Haze is mediocre imo, it did have some cool moments, like shooting the dispenser on an enemy's back and he would go balistic and kill his friends, I thought that was cool.

The best game is MGS4 but there is no co op. Your idea of LBP for your friend and his girl is great. Its fun, enjoyable, and both can play and enjoy the experience together. This would be a great gift.

I'd say Valkyria Chronicles and MGS4. But if I HAD to choose one, I'd go with VC... no MGS4... no VC, yep VC.

If you have not experienced MGS4, then you must do so. There is no other game on the PS3 that is an essential play.

I'd go with Uncharted. Its a pretty universal game and is just a taste of what the PS3 can do.

Its a toss up between LBP, Uncharted and MGS4. Since she's a girl, I really think she'd like LBP, some of my girl friends don't really care for games, but when i showed them little big planet they had a blast. If she's an action adventure fan in general (movies or games), then its probably best to go with Uncharted, it is probably the best ps3 game, top 3 for sure!

Uncharted is absolutely one of the greatest PS3 games out. The game should not be missed by any PS3 owner and it should be against the law not to play it if you have a ps3.

But if you dont own MGS4 for some strange reason (Dog ate your wallet) then go for that instead.
