Hi

At the moment i am using a 26" samsung running at 1080i and were wondering if i were to slpash out on another which pushes out 1080p. am i going to see a real difference in quelity at that size or should i just stick with the one i have the PS3 running on at the mo ?

you won't notice a difference with 1080p until you hit about the 32inch mark. but with that tv you should try running it at 720p, any p is better than i

I agree, with a 27" your fine with a 1080i. 1080p might look a little better and run smoother on a bigger tv but its gonna cost you a lot more.

1080i is an interlaced image so yes 1080p is solid, and will look alot better however, 1080P isn't worth it on anything less then 37-40+" even 37 is pushing it though.. My suggestion to you? Don't spend the extra money on a 40+" 1080p TV if it's only for gaming, wait til more games (next gen probably) reach a native Resolution of 1080p, as of right now most/all games are 720, even with the exception of CoD4 which is 640p(or 600)

you will notice a good difference between i and p but i recommend that if you are going to go for 1080p that you go with something 42+"
