I only bought my PS3 three weeks ago and I have the following games: - LittleBigPlanet - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm - Siren Blood Curse - FEAR 2 - Eternal Sonata and apparently i've already used 19GB of my 80GB. The only extra suff I've downloaded is three additional costumes for Sackboy in LBP that were all under 100KB each. Is this seriously the amount of space games take up? Cause I plan to get a lot more games than this, and it looks like the space isn't going to last for long...

Don't forget that even when your PS3 is totally empty, you still only have 65-something out of 74GB.

If I'm not wrong PS3 uses a lot of space for other things, internet browser, system files etc.

Installs take a crapload of memory. When you're not planning on playing a game for a long time, you can delete the system data only and keep the save file. That way, you can save memory (saves take barely anything) and just install the game again when you want to play it again (while being able to pick up where you left off prior to the deletion of the system data).

hmmmmm reading this thread is making me wonder how much free space i have on my HDD now...i feel like i might need to start deleting things, especially since i have the 40gb, i didn't realize the PS3 already used a ton of space from the beginning
