Agreed, I wouldn't be satisfied with 19", if you want to maximize your PS3 experience, get a 42" (or more) 1080p LCD Full-HD (with 100HZ) (or 30").

I don't recommend it. That's smaller than my computer screen and i think the computer screen is to small to watch movies in it or play games in it. Hell i think my 37" LCD is small.

My monitor is bigger than that (22")... hmmm. I'd say if you plan on sitting in front of the screen like you would a computor monitor while playing it would be fine. If you plan on laying back on a couch or something while playing you're going to need something bigger.

That is completely up to you and based on what you can afford of course. In my opinion I won't buy anything below a 32 inch but even then I would like to get a 40 plus inch for gaming thinking about saving up around 2 thousand dollars or so to get a really good one but I have seen some for around $1000 that look good so I don't know but around $1000 should get you a solid hd tv.

I've a 32" 1080p panasonic, can't really say I would want one much smaller. Although I suppose a 26 or 28 would be ok (if they come in that?).

In other words, I don't think 19" is enough.

Five feet? Still 19 is small .. get something betwee 27-32 .. I sit ten feet back and I have a 61 ..

Anything under 42 inches 720P is all you need since it looks just like 1080p .. but anything over 42 you need 1080p ..

I have 19"in HD monitor; which is nice, but I don't think I'd play my ps3 on it.

I used a 26" HD tv for it; in a bedroom you can't go wrong wit ha 26"; not too big, not too small.

19" is fine for ps3 gaming in the bedroom. I have a 19"HD tv that I got for $200 last black friday and it works well when i play ps3 in my room but you need to sit close to the tv to see finer details like hud #s. I am lucky though when I am at my parents home we have my ps3 upstairs on the 19" and my bro's ps3 down on the 42" Bravia in the living room. I'd look for something bigger if you are going to be playing in the living room though.

Yeah never mind yeah get the 19" if you are gonna sit that close and its for a small room. Hell, even with the big tv in the living room I have a tendency to sit closer on the nearest couch.

I play on a 24inch full HD Samsung monitor. But I would rather play PS3 games on our 40inch Sony Bravia. But that is of course just my opinion.

Forgot to mention that my 32 " is a bedroom tv. If I was to get one for a living room or entertainment area, I would go no lower then 42.

If you have to save up for a month or 2 longer, it will be worth it in the long run

It completely depends on your situation.
If you plan on sitting about 2' away from the screen then 19" is fine.
If you are planning on sitting on the couch while playing I suggest something 30" or more.
As some people have said, it's all down to how much money you have to spend on a tv.
I have a 43" but I sit about 6' away from it. I'm planning on getting >50" soon.
Aside from all of that. Go to a home electronics store. Stare at the screens from the distance that you are planning to view your games. Once you've found something comfortable, that's the size you should get.

I'm using a 19" myself and it's perfect. My room is small so it's nice. It won't be a problem.

I also use about a 19'' and if you get a good 19'' that you like and are comfortable with, you should have no problem, as I actually like my 19'' TV for gaming instead of a big screen for some games as you don't have to move your eyes for certain information.

depends on how close your going to sit ect. IMHO its farto small. i f you can get a little bigger. i have a 26' vizio and i still wish i had at least a 32' dispite sitting only 4 foot away. 26 is ok but bigger is often better lol. remember you dont have to spend extra for those higher name brand sets. some of the cheaper brands get great pictures. some of the vizios's look just as good as the samsungs. go to a store, play with the settings and judge for your self. but 19' in a wide screen is very small.

this is very true. its better to wait a little longer and get what you want than to jump in and then regreat not waiting.

Hi

Im getting a Samsung Syncmaster 19" 1444x900 1080p LCD tv and i was wondering if its good enough for PS3 gaming?

waqster

If it is 1444x900 then it is not 1080p.

1080p is 1920x1080

That is too small to really enjoy HD.

Save that money until you can get a 32" they are under $500
